School Canteen

Our school canteen is open for breakfast every day before school from 8:20am to 8:45am and at break and lunch times for snacks and meals.

We prepare a selection of good quality and healthy meals, snack food and drinks. Our menus are planned to help the students eat a balanced diet through the week. We constantly review our food and ingredient suppliers to ensure we provide food using the best quality ingredients for our students.

We organise special meal days and even celebration days where students can try out different healthy food options they may not otherwise experience.

On Friday we prepare fish as the main meal to observe the Catholic tradition of abstaining from eating meat on that day.

Packed lunches can be ordered and purchased from the canteen when students are on a day trip or visit during a normal school day.

For those families entitled to free school meals, we offer a very discreet method of receiving the meal by using the biometric scanning in the same way other students use it. Please refer to the information about Parent Pay.

*** ANNOUNCEMENT – MAY 2019 ***

All Hallows is excited to announce two major developments to our catering facilities this summer. During May half term we will be closing the main school canteen for a complete refurbishment of both the kitchen and dining facilities. This project is long overdue, and we cannot wait to unveil the new and (much) improved space when our students return after the summer holidays in September.

Our new outdoor food service, named “Madden’s” after former headteacher Mr Jim Madden, will be open at break-time and lunch-time offering a range of hot and cold ‘grab-and-go’ food, savoury and sweet snacks, and drinks. Payment will be biometric the same as the main canteen. “Madden’s” will open before May half term and will continue to operate alongside the main canteen service from September.

Please ensure students have breakfast at home as we are unable to offer a breakfast service from June to July. We also ask parents to consider sending students in with a packed lunch as “Madden’s” will not have the capacity to serve the same amount as the main canteen.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
