Transport

Walking and Cycling

Naturally we encourage students to travel to school in a way that promotes good health and does the least damage to the environment. Cycle racks are provided at the front of school. Cyclists are advised to wear safety helmets and to follow all instructions concerning health and safety.

Travel By Bus

Free or subsidised transport to Catholic schools is now rarely available and only at the discretion of the local authority where the student lives. In this area, each authority has its own approach. Please contact your local authority School Transport department if you feel you may be entitled to assistance.

Naturally, we expect a high standard of discipline and behaviour from students travelling to and from school. The school would regard any cases of misbehaviour as a serious breach of the School Code.

Travel By Car

There are no facilities at school for parents to park while delivering or collecting students. The school front approach is a double-yellow line zone and this is enforced by the local authorities. Parents are advised to arrange a dropping off/picking up point well away from the school entrance to ensure everyone’s safety.

Problems or difficulties connected with transport or school travel should be referred to the School Office.
