The GIFT Team is made up of around 30 students who come together to serve the All Hallows Community. ‘GIFT’ stands for Gathering Faith Together. The team of students attend weekly meetings in the Chapel where they discuss how best to serve the school. The team is flourishing and have been instrumental in helping to deepen the Catholic life of All Hallows. For instance, the GIFT Team plan end of term liturgies at Christmas & Easter which are led by the students, for the students. The liturgies often involve drama to bring the Gospel to life in a way all can understand and enjoy.
The GIFT Teams motto is very simple; ‘To wear Christ in all we do’.
The founding members of the GIFT Team were commissioned by Bishop Philip & Father PJ at a special ceremony in Fareham. Since then, the team has grown in number and also in ambition too. At Christmas, the team worked hard to encourage our school community to collect food for the Farnham Food Bank- collecting over 7000 food items! They also acquired presents and gifts for children who would otherwise have had nothing to open on Christmas Day too. Other whole projects include reducing the amount of paper & plastic the school uses in response the Pope Francis’ Encyclical letter, Laudato Si. The aim is to preserve the Earth’s resources for future generations to come. In school, curriculum departments & the Catering team have been challenged to save money & resources for the good of all.
